This large swimming pool had a worn Marbelite pool surface with numerous surface cracks and small holes.
The weir (skimmer-box) was not suitable for automatic pool cleaners and the pool light was not functional.
POOL RENOVATION INCLUDED:
- Storage of the swimming pool water in our porta pools for the duration of the pool renovation.
- Installation of a pool cleaner friendly weir.
- Repair of the small cracks and holes in the pool surface.
- Application of a Fibreglass lining in light blue.
- Application of ceramic pool mosaics around the circumference of the pool and on the step area.
- Installation of a new wet-niche pool light.
- Application of an expansion joint in the poolside paving around the circumference of the pool.
HOW LONG DOES A SMALLER POOL RENOVATION TAKE US?
► No two pool renovations necessarily take the same amount of time.
► Each renovation is different depending upon the factors pertaining to that particular pool.
FACTORS THAT INFLUENCE THE TIME TAKEN INCLUDE:-
- Size, depth, and, the shape of the pool.
- Ease of access/ positioning of the porta pools relative to where the pool is situated.
- Issues related to the pool superstructure may be uncovered once all the water is pumped out.
- The repair work that is required to address the issues related to the pool superstructure including
curing latent water ingression. - Additional work such as the installation of new suction and return lines, replacement of the pump
and filter, installation of a salt chlorinator, installation of a backwash water saving mechanism also
impacts the time taken to complete the reno. - Application of new pool tiles such as ceramic mosaic pool tiles and the amount of tiling work required.
Generally, smaller pool renovations take between 5 and 8 working days to complete.
