This Fibreglass Moulded Pool had a badly scored surface and worn fibreglass tissue mosaics.
The skimmer box (weir) was damaged and was incorrectly positioned in the pool.
POOL RENOVATION INCLUDED:
- Intense sanding down of the entire swimming pool surface and removal of the tissue mosaics.
- Repair of the score marks and other scratches on the pool surface.
- Installation of a new correctly positioned skimmer box.
- Application of a new Fibreglass lining with a finishing Poolcoat in white.
- Application of new ceramic mosaic pool tiles around the circumference of the pool and on the step area.
The pool water was stored in porta pools for the duration of the swimming pool renovation.
HOW LONG DOES A SMALLER POOL RENOVATION TAKE US?
► No two pool renovations necessarily take the same amount of time.
► Each renovation is different depending upon the factors pertaining to that particular pool.
FACTORS THAT INFLUENCE THE TIME TAKEN INCLUDE:-
- Size, depth, and, the shape of the pool.
- Ease of access/ positioning of the porta pools relative to where the pool is situated.
- Issues related to the pool superstructure may be uncovered once all the water is pumped out.
- The repair work that is required to address the issues related to the pool superstructure including
curing latent water ingression. - Additional work such as the installation of new suction and return lines, replacement of the pump
and filter, installation of a salt chlorinator, installation of a backwash water saving mechanism also
impacts the time taken to complete the reno. - Application of new pool tiles such as ceramic mosaic pool tiles and the amount of tiling work required.
Generally, smaller pool renovations take between 5 and 8 working days to complete.
